It is the ambition of POSITION project to enable innovation in Smart Catheters and Implants by the introduction of open technology platforms for: miniaturization, in-tip AD conversion, wireless communication, MEMS transducer technology and encapsulation. These platforms are open to multiple users and for multiple applications.
The IMS will be responsible for the development and start-up of the ASICs within the subproject “digital MRI-safe EP catheter”. Up to 96 electrical signals of the heart will be read-out, digitized and accessible via optical fiber.
POSITION-II has received funding within the Electronic Components and Systems for European Leadership Joint Undertaking (ECSEL JU) in collaboration with the European Union.
