In October 2022, Professor James Sturm from the American Princeton University will be visiting the IMS for 4 weeks.

His current research area is Flexible Electronics. The Hybrid Systems in Foil (HySiF) technology developed at the IMS, which allows ultra-thin CMOS chips to be efficiently combined in foil systems with large area thin film electronics, thus, offers an interesting field for professional exchange and collaboration.
Professor Sturm is currently Chair of the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Princeton University in New Jersey, USA. He is a Fellow at IEEE (since 2001). Shortly after moving from Stanford University to Princeton, he attracted attention with the first demonstration of a SiGeC heterobipolartransistor.
